In 2006 I completed the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s (NSCA) programme to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Prior to this I had completed my gym instructor Level 2 with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS). The qualifications built on an already long personal training history that had led me to read a lot about training principles and to try them out myself.
I have designed training programs for a wide range of clientele, from track cyclists, triathletes, American football players, rugby players and golfers to bodybuilders and people simply wanting to lose fat and build muscle aka 'tone up'…..
I also wrote training plans for the Leicestershire Police Force once upon a time, which I have noted here.
My main strength now lies in designing exercise programmes that maximise fat loss and maintain muscle for the least effort. This not only serves to make people look better but is key in improving health in a number of my clients who suffer from diabetes and other health ailments. I now have years of real world experience in this area from personal endeavours as well as advising hundreds of individuals, both male and female of all ages!
